Darkness. Suffocating, murky, and thick, it causes objects subjected to its blackness to wallow in total blindness. Darkness is a force that has a formidable appearance and a hopeless ambiance.
Darkness and light rule our world, and they rule us.
We are imperfect. We sin without falter. We fail constantly. These flaws are in all humans. All that being said, however, we have a choice. We have been blessed with the opportunity to choose where we will stand in this war of illumination. Shall we shine heartening light or spew dismal darkness? Let's consider the options, shall we? One builds up while the other weighs down. One encourages enlightening enthusiasm and action while the other emphasizes apathy and hate. As generations have moved through our world, so have our desires for the light. The diminishing want to possess the ability to encourage and shine and illuminate the unknown is increasingly damaging to our world. So tell me now. Shall we stand to live a life bogged down by our weak, cowardly, and dark selves, or shall we live a life that reaches to all corners of the globe, positively influencing and enlightening all those who will receive the light?
Can we adjust our sails and glide towards the light? Or shall we continue to embrace the smothering darkness that we allow ourselves to be held captive to?
Light. Dark. Life. Death. Action. Apathy. Courage. Cowardice.
